The Whidbey Island Orchestra was formed in 2007 to provide quality musical experiencesThe Covid epidemic has prevented us from having free community concerts, but we still have expenses for music storage, insurance, and our Youth Scholarship program. Music Director/Conductor Cynthia Morrow has graciously donated the majority of her time and worked tirelessly and creatively to shepherd the orchestra through this challenging time.
Providing a safe environment for brass and woodwind instruments to join our string players proved to be too challenging for this season. But our string players, flutes, piano, and percussion are delighted to present a selection of Christmas (and Chanukah) music for your enjoyment (and ours!). Website registration and hosting: $125 / year
Storage of our musical scores and supplies: $60 / month
Insurance (General Liability and D&O): $120/month
Soloist Appearance: $75 - 200 / concert
Arranger: $200 / piece
Student Scholarship for 1 year: $150
Donation for use of performance venue (other than WICA): $75 - 125
Posters and Programs for 1 concert (other than WICA): $300
Assistant Conductor - 1 rehearsal or concert: $100
